JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the New Orleans Saints with a touchdown in the final seconds of the game.

The Jaguars took a lead early in the game, but the Saints high-powered offense quickly came back and took over.

Down by four points with less than two minutes to go, third string quarterback Jordan Palmer led the team down the field to score with seconds on the clock. With 13 seconds left, Palmer, under pressure, threw an 11-yard pass to Kevin Elliott in the endzone.

The Saints got the ball back but a desperate hail-mary pass failed.

The final score, Jaguars 27, Saints 24.

The Jaguars are now 2-0 in the preseason.

Blackmon on Bourbon Street

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars are hours away from their second preseason game of 2012.

Tonight's game in New Orleans will feature the anticipated debut of first round pick Justin Blackmon. Blackmon told us this morning that he is ready to go and excited about the first game.

Head coach Mike Mularkey says Blackmon will likely play the first half against the Saints.

The Jags will once again have to shuffle their offensive line because of injuries. They will be without several players on defense too, but that just means more opportunity for players battling for roster spots.

One player who continues to gain praise is offensive lineman Drew Nowak. The undrafted rookie came to camp as a defensive lineman, but the Jaguars moved him to guard last week because of injuries on offense and depth on the defensive line.

Nowak played more than 50 plays last week against the Giants in a 32-31 win and only had five mental mistakes. That is remarkable for a player switching from defense to offense and just learning the playbook.

Make sure to catch tonight's pre-game show for more on Nowak. We will also have Steve Wrigley talking Justin Blackmon, The Boys in the Booth (Jeff Lageman, Brian Sexton), Tony Boselli's thoughts on the Saints, Stuart Webber on Mike Mularkey's charitable contributions that mean more than six points, and we will show you the behind the scenes making of an offensive play. You will see the Jaguars and Mike Mularkey like you've never seen before.

The pre-game show starts at 7:30 p.m. on CBS47. The Jags and Saints kickoff at 8 p.m. on CBS47.
