JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jax Cash Mob is hosting its monthly mob again this month. However, May's mob is different. This time the recipients are planning to give back to the community.

The event will start on May 11 at 11 a.m. at Reddi Arts at1037 Hendricks Avenue. The target store itself will give 15 percent of its sales from Saturday's Cash Mob to the maintenance and conservation of public art installations. The Mob will not only be supporting a locally owned small business, but will also be used to repair the Art In Public Places public art installation entitled "No Couch Potatoes Here" located at the Police Athletic League at Ed Austin Regional Park.

Participants are then invited to have lunch at High Tide Burrito. High Tide will also donate ten percent of its sales to the maintenance and conservation of public art installations.

"I'm really excited about this twist on the Jax Cash Mob as participants will be able to directly support both local businesses and local art," said Jax Cash Mob organizer Mike Filed. "Locally owned small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, civic life and local charities."

In addition, in order to participate participants have three rules to follow: spend $10 to 20 at a local store, meet three new people and have fun.
