JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The congregation at Celebration Church was treated to a spectacular Christmas musical production that took weeks to pull off. Complete with horse drawn carriages and even some snow.
According to the church experience director their goal was to make their biggest holiday memorable for church goers.
"It's the story of Christmas, the birth of Christ however we added some relevant things like some stage play stuff but it's all in an effort to bring the true story of Jesus' birth," said Tarik Stewart, Weekend Service Experience Director.
It took more than 20 performers and countless hours of rehearsal to tell a story about a young girl who wakes up on Christmas day to find dozens of presents underneath her tree.
"We paint the picture with music and lights and make it energetic and upbeat so it can capture their imagination and capture their attention and just present the gospel in a real relevant way," said Stewart.
Sylvia Nixon has been attending services to Celebration Church for the past three years, she says the elaborate production really made her holiday special.
"We know that Jesus is the reason for the season and there's no better place than to be here at Celebration Church to worship that true reason," said Nixon.
