CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- The Clay County School Board has reelected a chairman for the 2014 school year, according to the School Board.
Chairman Carol Studdard was reelected to serve as Board Chair for the third year in a row in a vote at a meeting Tuesday evening, said Vice-Chairman, Janice Kerekes. Kerekes will serve as Vice-Chair for the School Board.
Kerekes believes Studdard is a good fit for the position because she has been on the board for several years.
"Her more than two decades of service on our School Board makes her the most knowledgeable member of this board," Kerekes said. "Her experience will be crucial to guiding us into the future."
The School Board will continue meeting on the third Thursday at 7 p.m. of every month in 2014 at the Teacher Training Center at Fleming Island High School, Kerekes said.
The School Board's next scheduled meeting is on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.
