Charity Chatman awaits extradition hearing in Georgia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The woman accused of abducting her own daughter remains in jail in Georgia, waiting extradition to Florida.

Charity Chatman is being held without bond at the Houston County Jail. A spokesman for the Houston County Jail told Action News a motion was filed with the District Attorney's Office for a request for an extradition hearing. The judge is expected to set a date in the coming weeks

Chatman is accused of abducting her 6-year-old daughter Onnika after a supervised visit last Friday.
