Check cashing robbery suspect convicted
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man who robbed a check cashing business now faces life in prison.
A jury convicted Ladon Green, 46, of armed robbery. He robbed Advance America on Argyle Forest Boulevard in October of 2011.
Police say he broke into the business by cutting out the bottom half of a back door. A clerk arrived for work and found Green in her office, armed with a butcher knife. Green threatened the woman and forced her into a bathroom after taking the cash. Blood left at the scene was traced to Green.
He's been in jail before. He has convictions for cocaine possession and burglary. He's facing life in prison as a prison release re-offender.
