ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A 4-year-old child accidentally fell out of a window of his family's 2 story home Tuesday afternoon, according to St. Augustine police.

The incident happened at a residence along Milton Street near downtown St. Augustine.

Investigators tell Action News the child was playing on the bed when he hit a window screen and fell out of the window.

The child fell approximately 10 feet, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue.

Emergency crews eventually transported the child to Wolfson's Children's Hospital, where he is recovering from non-serious injuries and is believed to be in stable condition.

Police have ruled the incident is accidental and are still waiting for the official report.
