KINGSLAND, Ga. -- A 23-year-old Kingsland man is facing charges of sexual assault to a child after being reported by the victim's mother.
Alexander Robert Korponay is charged with a single felony count each of Aggravated Child Molestation and Aggravated Sodomy.
Police say the victim's mother called police on October 10, 2012 to report her 4-year-old had been a victim of sexual assault by a male acquaintance of the family.
Police responded to the home and after taking statements, obtained an arrest warrant for Korponay.
Korponay was a friend of the family who had been living in the residence with them for a few months and had since moved out. Shortly after the suspect moved out the female victim told her mother about the incident which had occurred while the suspect was living with them.
Korponay was taken to the Camden County Jail in Woodbine, Georgia.
