Children pledge to leave guns and drugs alone
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville leaders are hoping to combat crime by stopping it before it starts.
More than 1,600 local kids gathered at the Potter's House on the Westside today to take a pledge to stay away from guns and drugs.
This annual event is hosted by the crime fighting group MAD DADS and every year, it IS supported by the Sheriff, the mayor, and the State Attorney. The group says it works.
