Hope that faulty septic tanks can be repaired soon. Nobody deserves to live without a septic tank that works. Regards Rod http://www.lakenormanseptic.com/

To avoid expensive repairs on your home and clean up the environment at the same time, use the natural cleaners for septic system clogging, plumbing and water supply maintenance like the all-natural Advanced Formula Septic-Helper 2000, Enza Drain Line Cleaner and the Enza Washer Ball for your laundry. http://millerplante.net. In 2011, the EPA (TMDL), mandates that states and counties clean up their water supplies. It mandates new inspections on all septic systems, water wells and with funding, local waterways. A failed inspection would include a slow drain in your leach field, low septic tank bacteria levels or elevated Nitrate levels in your Water Well or local Water Supplies; could require replacement of your entire system for $10K to $80K+ or connect to the city sewer system for $5K to $40K. The new inspections are failing 12% of systems each year and 82% of those older than 1977. 2010-2013 Septic News Stories: http://Twitter.com/MillerPlanteInc Join our 1400 Facebook Friends: http://Facebook.com/Miller.Plante

I think the media as well as city officials need to quit blaming septic systems for the river problems. DEP did a years worth of studies a couple years ago and found alot of problems but septics sytems were less than 1% of the problem. Thats one reason why the federal funding stopped. If COJ wants to install city sewer and upgrade sreets, and drainage be honest and tell the public. Quit looking for an escape goat (septic tanks) We definatly need to replace failing septic systems with modern systems and new technology that has been approved by the state. With support and funding we would be able to stretch the funding to replace more systems that work and save homeowners money.
