They want to sell JEA and use the money to get us out of this mess were in they say, are you kidding me, yes we could use the money but our rates will go up, that is a given, the money the city and school district get from JEA will be cut dramaticly and in a short time will will be broke again. Some of JEA employees would love for us to sell so they could get a large pay raise, because the company that purchases the utility would bring the pay scale up to meet the trend of others in the feild. All this would mean for us is higher monthly bills. Plain and simple!!! Please find another way to get us back on track, don't sell the one thing that makes sense.

Any time a city utility is privatized it ends up costing consumers more and people loose jobs.
