City discusses river dredging project
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- City leaders met Tuesday to talk about deepening the St. Johns River.
State and local leaders are trying to secure funding for the project.
They fear JaxPort will lose out on business and jobs -- if the dredging doesn't happen soon.
On the federal level, representatives Corrine Brown and Ander Crenshaw are working to get JaxPort on the list of approved projects for the Water Resources Act even though it was left off the list in October.
