City names new education commissioner
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The city has a new education commissioner.
Mayor Alvin Brown announced today that he selected JU professor of communications Dr. Annmarie Kent-Willette for the job.
She says she believes in a public-private partnership as means to make sure every student is successful in the classroom.
Kent-Willette has a background in teaching and will serve on loan from Jacksonville University for two years.
