JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Frederick Wade was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Kalil McCoy.

Kalil McCoy was shot and killed by Wade in June of 2011.  Wade was convicted of second degree murder in April 2012.
McCoy, 20, was riding in a SUV with Wade and other friends when Wade fired a gun during a struggle.  McCoy was killed.

Four people were arrested in McCoy's death.  All of those arrested were McCoy's classmates at Andrew Jackson High School.

Kennard Mahone, Jonathan Brooks and Alfred Mears pleaded guilty to Accessory After the Fact in the case.  They admitted to helping dispose of McCoy's body.

Brooks was sentenced in June to 15 years in prison.  Mahone and Mears will be sentenced later in August.
