CLAY COUNTY, Fla.-- Imagine sex shops legally operating in Clay County.

Commissioners there are considering allowing them in the county that has forbidden adult businesses since 1985.

The county attorney today told commissioners that the ordinance strictly prohibiting adult shops throughout the county is unenforceable because it's unconstitutional on free speech grounds.

Commissioners decided to consult constitutional experts to look into the legality of the county's adult store ban.

The county will also consider strict zoning measures against adult businesses.
