Clay County elections cancelled

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Several elections scheduled to be held in March for council member seats in the cities of Orange Park and Keystone Heights will not take place.

No one qualified to run against opponents according to the Clay County Supervisor of Elections.

Orange Park Council members that will retain their seats are Marge Hutton (Seat 2), Jim Renninger (Seat 4), and Gary Meeks (Seat 5). Orange Park’s election was scheduled for March 12th.

Keystone Heights’ Brian Wilson (Seat 1) and Marion Kelly (Seat 2) also do not have to campaign. Keystone Heights’ election was slated to be conducted March 5th. Wilson and Kelly will be sworn in during April’s City Council meeting.
