GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A Clay County grand jury indicted an Orange Park
man for the murder of his ex-wife.

Adrian Bernard Seward was indicted Wednesday for the July murder of his ex-wife Lashawana Lynn Criswell. Seward was indicted on charges of murder in the first-degree and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Criswell, 33, was shot and killed near her Oakleaf Plantation area home just days after her divorce with Seward was finalized. Seward is accused of shooting and killing Criswell after she ran to a neighbor's home while being pursued by her ex-husband.

Seward is currently being housed in the Clay County Jail without bond. Seward's arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 4.
