ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. -- U.S. Coast Guard medically evacuated a 37-year-old woman who was experiencing seizures aboard a fishing vessel Tuesday evening.

The fishing vessel Jennifer Ann was about a half mile off the coast from the St. Johns River when the crew aboard sent out the request for help.

Coast Guard members responded, by boat, and successfully brought the woman ashsore for aide.

She is recovering tonight.

“The swift action and seamless coordination between the crew of the Jennifer Ann and all the responders involved allowed the woman to receive the medical care she needed as quickly as possible,” said Tony Wells of the Sector Jacksonville Command Center.
