BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- The Coast Guard had to medically evacuate a man from a boat six miles east of Brunswick Monday.

A news release from the Coast Guard obtained by Action News says 61-year-old Jeffery Quinn was medically evacuated at 2:22 p.m. after the captain of the fishing vessel he was on reported stroke-like symptoms on Saturday.

Coast Guard Station Brunswick launched a rescue crew boat to the fishing vessel Russel Lee and transported Quinn to medical personnel waiting at Golden Isles Marina.
