Coast guard rescuing man trapped in boat 40 miles off the coast
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Coast Guard is en route to rescue a boater who hurt himself after hitting a big swell in the Atlantic Ocean.
According to the Coast Guard, a distress call came from the man aboard a 20 foot boat, located about 40 miles east of St. Augustine.
He told the Coast Guard he had pain in one of his legs, and it could be broken.
The Coast Guard has not given as estimate on how long it will take them to rescue the man. They're sending a helicopter from Savannah to assist with the rescue.
