JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police believe a motorist dumped 2 kilos of cocaine on the side of the highway this past weekend.

A second motorist alerted officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office to a broken down vehicle and something suspicious on northbound I-295 near San Jose Boulevard. It was determined the item on the side of the road was the illegal drug.

Police say they do not expect anyone to claim the lost item.
