JACKSONVILLE Fla.-- Solantic Urgent Care is becoming CareSpot; and with its new name and brand, it's helping North Florida one patient and one job at a time.

"In the next year we are looking at doubling the size of the company," said CareSpot VP of Sales, Fran Coyne.

In an exclusive interview, Coyne told Action News that they want to grow the company from 500 to 1,000 employees.

A good chunk of those positions will be created at a new urgent care center in Nassau County, but that's not all, other offices are also projected to open in St. Johns and Clay Counties.

Action News has also learned that the company wants to use local construction companies, and local talent to help build the business.

"With the new signage, the look, the paint and the feel we've spent over $3 million in that focus as well as using state contractors to perform those services," said Coyne.

CareSpot reps say the new name also carries a new and improved patient experience, including an updated web-page that allows you to schedule your appointments from the comfort of your home computer.

"This is really taking us to the next step," said Coyne. "It's not only building out really what patients want that patient overall experience when they want it."

The name change will be official next week. CareSpot's new website will launch then, and that's where job opportunities will be posted.

The new Yulee CareSpot location is expected to be completed in November.
