ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. -- Congressman Connie Mack will make and appearance at the American Legion Post 316 in Atlantic Beach. This will be the first of three visits on his state wide tour today. Joining him will be Arizona Senator John McCain.
It's all apart of Mack's 'Freedom Fly Around', visiting military towns in Florida. Congressman Mack will make three stops in the Sunshine state today. He will start here, then head to Pensacola and onto Tampa.
Mack is hoping to narrow the gap between himself and incumbent Bill Nelson. Right now, the long-time democratic senator is leading Mack 48%, to Mack's 43%. That's according to new Rasmussen poll taken this Saturday. But there are still 7% of voters undecided, so this race could go either way.
The event will be held at the American Legion Post 316 in Atlantic Beach. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the event will start at 10.
