MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- A local mom whose kids suffer from a rare, incurable brain disorder has made it her mission to erase the disease.
So this weekend, Amanda Wendorff has organized the Conquer Chiari Walk Across America. Three of Wendorff's four children suffer from the disorder. It causes her kids to have excruciating headaches and regular, life-threatening brain surgery.
Not much is known about it, so parents with kids who suffer with Chiari are working hard to raise awareness.
