JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Krista Nilsson loves her Therapie boutique location, but hates the drama around it.

For her to get to work, she has to encounter this.

"Makes it difficult for customers to come and find parking and it makes it difficult for them to want to come and want to find parking and battle construction," she said.

Nilsson isn't the only one frustrated. Other merchants have chimed in on the inconvenience, and even sent out emails and fliers to remind people that they're still open.

The goal of the construction project is to expand Balis Park and create a roundabout at the base of the Square. Ginger Forbes, who eats lunch in San Marco two or three times a week, isn't happy about it.

"It's been a real pain in the neck. I've tried every back street and everything else and it just takes a long time," Ginger Forbes said.

Despite the cons, some are remaining optimistic.

"Hopefully it will look nice, you know?" Dino Mehmedagic said.

Nilsson has the same line of thought. She knows the price of progress usually yields results -- she just hopes she has the patience to see it through."

"I think it will all be worth it, but right now, I think it's hard to see the silver lining because it has impacted us so much," she said.

Phase 10 of the project is scheduled to be finished this month.
