JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- A large area of rain and storms is exiting into the Western Atlantic and will be followed by a few lingering showers through the afternoon rush hour into early this evening. While there will be some brief heavy rain causing slow travel, no severe storms are expected. Temperatures will remain muggy in the 70s to low 80s. Wednesday will not be as wet but still plenty of clouds with a few scattered showers as temperatures top out in the mid 80s. About half the area will see rain but amounts will mostly be less than a half inch. Rain will increase again Thursday-Friday with all areas seeing at least some rain with the potential for locally heavy amounts. Send weather photos and video **
