JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man convicted of killing another man in a fight at a crab boil received life in prison.

Christopher Leon Anderson received the sentence for the shooting death of 42-year-old Armando Jackson.

The shooting happened last May at a party on West 21 Street in Jacksonville.

It took a jury only seven minutes to convict Anderson of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Anderson must service at least 42 years of the sentence before any chance of parole.  He also received a sentence of 15 years in prison for the weapons charge.
