Corey files counterclaim against former IT worker
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- State Attorney Angela Corey is filing a counterclaim against a former IT worker in her office.
Ben Kruidbos accused Corey's office of withholding evidence from George Zimmerman's attorneys last year.
Krudibos even testified for Zimmerman's defense team.
Kruidbos filed a lawsuit and said he was fired in retaliation for releasing that evidence during the case.
Now Corey is firing back.
In a counterclaim we just obtained, Corey said Kruidbos was fired for violating policy by wrongfully deleting files and for divulging information during an ongoing case.
Corey's counter lawsuit demands attorney's fees be paid by Kruidbos.
