Correctional Officer accused of having sex with female inmate
BAKER COUNTY, Fla. -- A Correctional Officer with the Baker County Sheriff's Office has been arrested and charged with having sex with a female inmate.
Authorities say it happened while Tarrece Givens, 27, was on duty at the Baker County Sheriff's Office Detention Center where Givens has worked since September 30, 2011.
The sheriff's office does not believe that force was used.
"It is a sad day anytime we have such allegations against employees that result in us having to arrest our own," said Sheriff Joey Dobson.
Sheriff Dobson says Givens' employment status is "pending."
