JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The wait is finally over. Action News just got a sneak peek inside the city's new $350 million courthouse.
Court officials are moving into the new courthouse as we speak.
The new facility is made up of 51 courtrooms, a jury assembly that holds 500 people, a law library, a wedding chapel, a media room, and wi-fi throughout.
It's not entirely done yet, construction crews can still be found walking the long tiled halls.
But on Tuesday the judges who gave us the tour seemed confident the courthouse will be ready by next week.
"They still have some punch list items to do, but overall they've done just a magnificent job. It's a beautiful civic building. It's a place where justice happens and it should look like a place where justice happens and I feel most citizens, if not all, will be pleased," said Judge Mallory Cooper.
The new courthouse is scheduled to open to the public Monday, June 18.
