Crab boil gathering turns deadly on city's Northside
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An argument at a crab boil in the 1500 block of West 21st street turned deadly, according to police.
Shoots rang out shortly before midnight Sunday at a Northside home.
Investigators say the victim, in his mid-40s, was taken to UF & Shands Jacksonville where he later died.
Around 15 people were at the gathering at the time of the shooting.
No one else was injured the gunfire.
Upon arrival, members of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office did take a man into custody but have not released his identity.
Police are seeking a motive for the shooting in their investigation.
