JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police have reopened both lanes of Ft. Caroline Road at the intersection of Spanish Bluff Drive after a single-vehicle accident.

Police say a 34-year-old man crashed a BMW around 3:20 am Friday morning.  Investigators say the car traveled onto the right shoulder of the road, then went airborne and struck a telephone pole.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are not saying if drugs or alcohol were involved.  The name of the driver has not been released.
