It's by far the most popular commercial of the summer, and now we're learning more about the creative team behind "Hump Day."
The Geico commercial features a talking camel who likes to annoy his colleagues by reminding them what day of the week it is.
Sean Riley, a creative director at the Martin agency, came up with the initial idea.
"I think we were sort of focused on, let's do something in the office, let's do something you know that's surprising. I said camel, and then it just kind of went from there," said Riley.
The team's biggest challenge was getting the catch-phrase of the commercial just right.
"There was a huge debate, is it happier than a camel on Wednesday or is it happier than a camel on hump day," said Molly Souter, the ad's executive producer.
The creative team also revealed that the name of the camel in the commercial is Caleb.
"Hump Day" is not Caleb's only starring role. He's also made an appearance in a music video and movies, including "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."
