ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- St. Johns County Fire Rescue is working several brush fires across the area.

Crews are working a five-acre fire on Flores Way.  Firefighters tell Action News four homes were evacuated early Saturday afternoon.  By Saturday night the fire was out and neighbors were let back home.

Crews have also put out a fire on Brian Way.  Firefighters say neighbors reported hearing several explosions and saw black smoke in the area.  Crews quickly contained and doused the nearly one-acre fire.  We're told one house has some damage to the siding.  No one was injured.

And, on East Deep Creek Boulevard in Flagler Estates, Firefighters are monitoring the land where a half acre fire was put out late Saturday.

The cause of either of the fires is not known.  No injuries were reported.
