Something very shady about this whole thing. Maybe it was like that case in NY where that very prominent man who was on the verge of losing everything paid someone to murder him so his family could collect on life insurance policy that had a suicide clause in it. Very strange and mysterious to say the least. Hope they do find out the truth in this case.

CIA and NIS will be on it. At his level dying like that will incur close scrutiny into what occurred. As for forced into early retirement that is standard in the Navy for past 30 years. If he had got help before the DUI then he could remained possibly. Waiting till you get arrested for it means retirement. It does not reflect on his service just that he made a serious judgment error that he had to pay for. Please don't tell me how gullible he was. You don't make Commander without attending/training your command about situational awareness. If you want real examples of removal from force for nothing look at the new "GAY" friendly military you must shower with them if you make any command remarks you are booted out. Additonally the government sees troops as guinea pigs to this day. Look up Gulf War Illness and do some research.

Find and kill the low lifes that took this heros life for what I am sure we will find to be ridiculous(a wwatch they will pawn for $30 somewhere down the road when they need a fix). Also look at what this administration is doing to the military. This guy was obviously in need of help and he had helped this country for a large part of his life. He was obviously not a hack as he moved through the ranks to a Commander level! Forced into an early retirement due to a DUI? Specifically with all the other things going on behind the scenes? We really need to stop mangling our military and its people as these are our protectors and they give themselves so we can be ourselves. We really need to stand up and say enough is enough... sometimes the protectors need to be protected both in cases like Commander Doss experienced and what the governemnt is doing to the Armed Forces overall. God bless all of our servicemen and women whether it be the Armed Forces or Police(well Jax police anyway!), Firemen or Guard, and thanks to all of you for the wonderful life you have afforded me and my family, we can never repay the likes of Commander Doss and the rest. RIP sir.

Hopefully, they find the scum bags that are involved in his death. I'm sure it will get solved since it didn't happen in Duval(the city of unsolved mysteries)
