JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The long awaited weather pattern change has arrived and will result in a very nice weekend BUT with this word of caution: beware of a high rip current risk at area beaches. Strong onshore northeast winds will cause rough seas and surf. Remember to never swim or surf alone and always near a lifeguard. The onshore winds will bring cooler temperatures with highs at the beaches only near 80 degrees...mid 80s inland. A few widely scattered brief showers will move inland off the Atlantic but most of the weekend will be dry.
