MARIETTA, Ga. -- Day four of testimony is underway in the trial of DeMarquise Elkins, the teenager accused in the murder of 13-month-old Brunswick baby.
Today's hearing began with the jury seeing a videotaped reenactment with one of the few witnesses to the baby's murder, the second suspect, Dominique Lang.
It was videotaped by investigators on March 22, the day after Antonio Santiago was killed. It shows 15-year-old Lang recreating the scene that day, acting out how he says DeMarquise Elkins tried to rob the baby's mother and how he counted down from five, threatening to shoot her baby if she didn't hand over her purse.
Lang testified Wednesday that he didn't see Elkins shoot the baby. But he said he heard the gunshot, and he knew the gun was aimed at the stroller.
Both teens face life sentences if convicted. Testimony continues this afternoon.
Elkins' mother, Karimah Elkins, is also on trial right now. She's accused of hiding the suspected murder weapon. The trial is expected to last through next week.
