JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Charges are pending against a driver in a crash that killed a local man.
Investigators say the accident happened just before 5:00 a.m. Monday, on I-95 near Race Track Road.
A man driving a truck lost control and hit another vehicle, causing that driver to hit a third vehicle.
The first vehicle that was hit flipped over and came to rest on its side near a wooded area.
The passenger in that vehicle George Thomas, 71, was killed and the driver Alex Sweat, 70, suffered serious injuries.
No one else was seriously hurt.
Police are still investigating the accident.
