Death penalty off the table in the Andrew King trial

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jury selection is underway in the trial of a man that is accused of stabbing a pregnant woman to death.

This is Andrew King's second trial for the murder of Felicia Burney and he unborn child. 

King went to trial in June of 2012 but there was a hung jury. The 12 member jury ended up in a deadlock after deliberating for over nine hours over King's fate.

In June 2010, Burney was found stabbed to death in her Arlington home.  She was 38 weeks pregnant when she died.

King is facing two counts of first degree murder and burglary with assault. The state anounnced Monday that they would not seek the death penalty.

The trial will continue Tuesday morning.
