You guys are a trip. Please keep in mind the following. Ms. Alexander BEFORE this incident was a felon. Florida has a 10-20-life law for crimes with guns. This was her second arrest, this time with a gun. She should have taken the deal.

Actually I'm now thinking she has spent enough time in jail, that 2 more years should be spent in counseling, not jail. Then her abuser should be arrested for threatening her life. I thought that was against the law. Many women are in their graves because of that words,"If I can't have you, no body will". Cory hasn't got a clue. She shouldn't be 'playing' God when she is clearly biased....Isn't her paycheck OUR tax dollars?

As you can see by post below I did some digging. We need prosecutors with some common sense, decency, and ethics. Sadly at present there is nothing there, but corruption. Win at all cost mentality.

Supposedly excerpt of her husband deposition" Once he managed to get inside, he said he pushed her into the door with enough violence to further damage the door. Did you put your hands around her neck? “Not that particular day. No.” They struggled. She ran out through the laundry room into the garage. “But I knew she couldn’t leave out of the garage because the garage door was locked.” She came back, he said, with a gun, yelling at him to leave. “I told her I ain’t leaving until you talk to me, I ain’t going nowhere, and so I started walking toward her and she shot in the air.” “I start walking toward her, because she was telling me to leave the whole time and, you know, I was cursing and all that.” His two sons by a previous marriage were in the room. “If my kids wouldn’t have been there, I probably would have put my hand on her. Probably hit her. I got five baby mommas and I put my hands on every last one of them, except for one. I physically abused them. Emotionally. You know.” “I honestly think she just didn’t want me to put my hands on her anymore so she did what she feel like she have to do to make sure she wouldn’t get hurt, you know. You know, she did what she had to do.” He said, “The gun was never actually pointed at me. When she raised the gun down and raised it up, you know, the gun was never pointed at me. The fact is, you know .?.?. she never been violent toward me. I was always the one starting it. If she was violent toward me, it was because she was trying to get me up off her or stop me from doing.” End quote Taken from another website this deposition . Think long and hard with this kind of abuse you think she should go to jail ? Do you really want these kind prosecutors' in Jacksonville? Alexander is not the type person where you got worry will you be safe walking past her on the street one day keep that in mind. She didn't shoot at some one for loud music she shot at man who had hospitalized her in the past with injuries. She had enough abuse.

Quote "One of his three arrests on domestic violence charges had been for an attack on Alexander that led to a conviction and probation. On Sept. 30, 2009, a Duval County circuit judge issued an injunction against Gray, ordering him to keep away from Alexander. (In his deposition, Gray said he was previously arrested for striking two other women in the face who, he explained, “wouldn’t shut up.”)" End quote Repost again some you need the facts instead of sending this woman for jail for the crime of being abused.

Quote "“I was in a rage. I called her a w hore and b itch and .?.?. I told her, you know, I used to always tell her that, if I can’t have you, nobody going to have you. It was not the first time of ever saying it to her.”~ Rico Gray in his deposition on November 22, 2010" End quote Deposition of Husband in the past fights. I am not posting cuss words that I have typed simply pointing out facts as claimed. Repost as some of you have not done enough digging into the story and some the facts are not being reported in order to save corrupt prosecutors.

I agree, imtellin. Maybe after 5 years(3 already served) she will learn to free herself from the abusive 'mindset' she has trapped in her head. Find her self esteem, and pride. And decide what she will 'accept and not accept' from any man. Once women are trapped in that 'victim' mode, it sometimes takes something like this liar to wake her up. I hope she gets counseling she needs to hold herself to a higher standard when it comes to relationships. But sadly moms or dads don't TEACH their children this, especially when today, there no mom or dad in the picture.

as she couldn't be certain where the shootees were in the house, it was an act of depraved indifference, that could have had serious if not fatal consequences !!! does it merit 20 years ??? no 5 should be the sentence...

READ the story c9crewman, she went out through the garage but found it was locked. When she came back through to go out the front door he blocked her way and told her she wasn't leaving. He has beat her and threatened her life REPEATEDLY, stating if he can't have her, nobody will, THAT WAS IN THE TEXT HE SENT AFTER THE RESTRAINING ORDER.. She should have shot him, she would not have gotten 20 years.
