JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Fog was dangerously dense as we got the week started. Low visibility may have played a part in a serious accident near Mandarin, FL. Visibility dropped to near zero for several hours during the morning rush.
The fog quickly lifted mid-morning and temperatures are taking off! The high temperature will be around 80 degrees for today in Jacksonville. The record high for this date in history is 82 degrees back in 1961, so we have a real chance of tying or breaking it.
Expect increasing clouds for the coming days with rain becoming likely into midweek. Temperatures will gradually fall as the cold front slowly moves in from the west. Temperatures will dip back down to the 60s by Wednesday.
