PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies said a man from Putnam County is in jail, accused of having his fists in a fist-like position around a woman's throat Saturday.
The incident took place on Pamela Drive near State Road 15 in San Mateo.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, 41-year-old Ramon A. R. Ramos straddled the 38-year-old woman while they lay on the bed.
Once deputies showed up to the home, they said they heard the woman scream, "Get out of my house."
The victim told the Sheriff's Office that Ramos bonded out of jail on Feb. 5 for repeatedly hitting her, deputies said.
Ramos is facing charges of obstructing justice, violation of pretrial release, felony domestic battery by strangulation, misdemeanor domestic battery, and kidnapping/false imprisonment, according to the Sheriff's Office.
