Deputies cleared in fatal Putnam County shooting

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- The State Attorneys Office has cleared three deputies in the fatal shooting of an unarmed and mentally ill man in Putnam County back in July.

Alfred Dobson, 35, was shot several times after Putnam County Sheriff Deputies were involved in an altercation with the suspect.

Dobson died at the hospital.

According to the report, deputies Matthew Jones, Raymond Strickland, and Shannon Depew used justifiable force and no further investigation is necessary.
