Deputies release picture of female suspect in smash-and-grab
ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The Clay County Sheriff's Office is looking for a woman in a smash-and-grab burglary.
After investigating a car break-in and stolen purse from the Orange Park YMCA parking lot in October 2013, Clay County deputies now have a person of interest.
Deputies say on Oct. 18 a woman who left her purse in the front seat of her vehicle during an early morning work out at the Orange Park YMCA returned to her car to find a busted window and her purse gone. The victim told the sheriff's deputy that her designer purse contained her drivers license, bank cards, credit cards and insurance cards.
Investigators found what they believe is a picture of the female suspect using the victim's card at a bank drive-through teller.
If you have any information on the woman's identity you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS. You could receive a cash reward of up to $3,000 if your tip leads to an arrest.
