JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Duval County School Board is close to finding a new superintendent. The board will meet Monday to approve the contract for Dr. Nikolai Vitti.

It covers a term of almost four years, from November 12 until June 30 of 2016. Doctor Vitti will be paid $275,000 a year.

He'll be reimbursed $8,000 for his move from Miami, and he'll receive up to $6,000 for temporary living expenses through the end of January of next year.

The board will also amend Pratt-Dannals' contract.

Once Vitti begins in November, Pratt-Dannals will become a district level administrator until the end of the year.

The special meeting is Monday at 9 a.m.
