GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- At the Fleming Island house of Yousef Issa, a tearful woman answered the door, identified herself as a relative, and said she was shocked at the arrests.
Authorities arrested Abas Issa, 45, of Orange Park; Yousef Issa, 41, of Fleming Island; Antoun Arbaji, 35, of Jacksonville; Emad Abduljaber, 46, of Jacksonville; and George Salameh, 54, of Jacksonville.
Abas Issa faces five counts of RICO and organized dealing in stolen property.
Yousef Issa faces three counts of RICO and organized dealing in stolen property.
Arbaji faces three counts of RICO and organized dealing in stolen property.
Abduljaber faces one count of dealing in stolen property.
Salameh faces various federal violations.
Action News discovered that the 41-year-old Yousef Issa has a misdemeanor battery charge from 1993 on his record along with 30 traffic citations.
Antoun Arbaji's niece told Action News their family moved here from Syria.
Someone at George Salameh's Mandarin house pulled away when she saw Action News at the door.
Neighbors who know the Salameh family say they were shocked at the charges. Cynthia Boudreaux said she's known the family since she moved onto their street 13 years ago.
"I would be very surprised to these kinds of charges leveled against him," said Boudreaux.
