BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Newly-released documents in the Brunswick Baby Murder investigation shed new light on the actions of the suspects prior to the shooting.

According to the affidavit and application for a search warrant, 15-year-old Dominique Lang told detectives about a conversation he had with 17-year-old DeMarquise Elkins as the two walked down the street on the morning of March 21.

Land told detectives that DeMarquise asked him if he knew any Mexicans. Lang said he believed DeMarquise intended to rob someone.

A few minutes later, Lang said DeMarquise showed a revolver with a brown wooden handle that he had hidden in his waistband.

According to the affidavit, the two walked along Ellis Street when DeMarquise said, "There goes a lady."

The lady happened to be Sherry West, who was pushing her son in a baby stroller, just a few yards from their home.

The two boys walked up to West when DeMarquise ordered the woman to give up her purse. West said no, and according to Lang, that's when DeMarquise pulled out the revolver, aimed it at West, and hit her with it. The two then struggled when the gun went off twice, according to Lang. The second shot hit West in her leg.

Lang told detectives DeMarquise then said toWest, "Give me your purse or I am going to shoot your baby."

DeMarquise, according to Lang's interview with detectives, aimed the revolver at the stroller and pulled the trigger.

The baby, 13-month-old Antonio Santiago, was shot and killed

The two boys then ran off to Lang's grandmother's house at 1021 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

West described the attacker with the gun as a young black male, approximately 15 years old, wearing a red shirt and blue denim pants, with curly hair and thick, bushy eyebrows. The baby's mother described the second attacker as a young black male wearing a black T-shirt.

The affidavit and application for a search warrant showed Takesha Elkins, DeMarquise's aunt, told police that the 17-year-old came to her house after the shooting incident wearing a red shirt. She said he made comments about the shooting. She asked him how he knew. DeMarquise, according to Elkins, said he was at the scene and talked to a police officer who said a baby had been shot in the face.

Police found a black hooded sweatshirt and ammunition in Lang's home, and another black hooded sweatshirt in his grandmother's house. Authorities also recovered ammo, cell phones, computer equipment and a red sweatshirt from the homes of his aunts, Takesha and Katrina Elkins.

When DeMarquise was arrested, police found two .22 caliber rounds in his front left pocket.

Police later arrested several relatives of DeMarquise. His mother Karimah and his aunt Katrina face charges of lying to police. Sabrina Elkins, DeMarquise's sister, faces charges for tampering with evidence. She and Karimah are accused of helping to dispose of the murder weapon by throwing the handgun into a saltwater pond.

Authorities also seized Facebook records which investigators said linked Elkins to criminal street gang activity.

The suspects face charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery and cruelty to children in the first degree.

They are not facing the death penalty due to their ages.

This boils down to a whole family with no moral compass. These boys wouldn't be this way had they been raised in a decent family.

The "gubmint" is trying everything they can not to pay out social security to people who WORKED all their lives... yet we spend billions every year feeding and breeding vermin like this and then housing them in prison most of their adult lives. WHY?!
