JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Humane Society is trying to find a special home for a local dog who was shot by a neighbor.

The injuries left Goose paralyzed, but it's not slowing him down.
“Goose is an amazing dog— he doesn’t seem to realize he’s paralyzed. He’s incredibly loving and playful. He’s also well socialized with humans and other animals. He loves everyone he meets and is going to make a great pet for someone,” said Denise Deisler, JHS executive director. “He needs a family that is going to understand his special needs and provide the compassionate care that this sweet boy deserves.”

Goose uses a wheelchair to get around and wears a protective garment that protects his skin when he is out of the wheelchair.

If you are able to open your home to Goose, call the Jacksonville Humane Society at (904) 725-8766.

Stories like this makes me livid. Did they arrest the maggot that did this? I sure hope so. I wish I could take this baby home with me.
