ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Long-time St. Augustine resident, Elisabeth Guillemin, worries about the impact the Mumford and Sons concert will have on her neighborhood.

For two days in September, about 25,000 concert goers are expected to converge just feet away from her doorstep.

Guillemin, who has lived on Grove Avenue for about 10 years, says she struggles with strangers using her yard as a shortcut every time there is an event downtown.

"I've had to walk up to men who were urinating in our yard and say 'excuse me this is private property'," said Guillemin.

So learning Mumford and Sons and their giant fan base will soon take over downtown was anything but music to her ears.

"We were not happy. In fact because of that we spent thousands of dollars to now fence the yard," said Guillemin.

It cost $5,000 to put up a wooden fence around her yard and weeks of going through city permits.

According to the general manager of the cultural events division of St. Augustine, they're well aware of concerns from neighbors like Guillemin.

"We're making sure we're going around, we're talking to them to make sure there is no inconvenience and if there are we're thinking through every single thing," said Ryan Murphy, General Manager of the Cultural Events Division.

Guillemin says all she can do now is hope her fence will keep people out.

"It may be great money for the city but it isn't really about the neighborhood," said Guillemin.
