Downtown trolley's screeching to a halt

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --JTA will soon stop offering trolley service to downtown. Jacksonville. 

Beginning June 3, JTA will cut off all Riverside Trolley stops north of the Jacksonville Landing.

Clinton Forbes, JTA's Chief of Transit Operations Support, said "Customers closer to the downtown core, near the new courthouse and Hemming Plaza, are encouraged to ride the Skyway to Central Skyway Station at no additional charge and directly transfer to the Riverside Trolley near Bay Street."

The trolley will continue to run between Five Points and the Landing on weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
